Website redesign agency

Website redesign that keeps your rankings — and starts selling

A redesign should improve the way your website looks, loads and converts without throwing away the search visibility you already earned. We combine design, development and SEO migration in one plan, so launch day is a controlled change rather than a gamble.

The problem

An old website can cost you twice

An outdated website makes the business look less capable than it is. Visitors struggle to understand the offer, mobile pages feel cramped, calls to action arrive too late and slow templates make every click feel like work. A cosmetic refresh alone does not solve those issues. The structure, content and conversion path need to be reconsidered together.

The second cost appears when a redesign is treated only as a visual project. URLs change without a plan, useful copy gets shortened, internal links disappear and redirects are added after traffic drops. A site can look cleaner and still lose the rankings, backlinks and qualified visits that made the old version valuable. We prevent that by putting SEO preservation into the delivery process from the first crawl.

Five-step process

Redesign and migration, handled as one project

01

Baseline the site

We crawl every indexable URL and review analytics, Search Console data, backlinks, rankings, forms and key journeys. This gives us an evidence-based list of pages and search signals that must survive the redesign.

02

Plan structure and content

We map the new information architecture, decide what stays, what improves and what can be consolidated. Important pages keep their search intent and useful content; navigation and calls to action become clearer.

03

Design and build on staging

We create responsive layouts around real content, then build them on a protected staging environment. Performance, accessibility, editing workflow and conversion paths are tested before the public site changes.

04

Prepare the SEO migration

Every changed URL receives a one-to-one destination. We verify metadata, headings, canonicals, hreflang, structured data and internal links, then prepare permanent redirects and launch checks.

05

Launch and monitor

After deployment we crawl the live site, test forms and redirects, submit the sitemap and monitor Search Console. Any unexpected 404, indexing issue or ranking movement is investigated while the launch is still fresh.

SEO-preservation checklist

What is protected before launch

This is part of the redesign scope, not an emergency add-on after deployment:

URL inventory and mapping

Every valuable old URL is matched to an equivalent new page. We avoid blanket redirects to the homepage.

Permanent 301 redirects

Redirect rules are prepared and tested before launch, including common trailing-slash and protocol variants.

Content parity

Pages keep the information and search intent responsible for their visibility, even when the writing and layout improve.

Metadata and headings

Titles, descriptions and heading hierarchy are transferred or rewritten deliberately instead of being reset by a new theme.

Canonical and hreflang

Canonical URLs and language alternates point to the correct live pages and never back to staging.

Internal links and schema

Navigation, contextual links, breadcrumbs and structured data are rebuilt around the new architecture.

Robots and sitemap

Indexing rules are checked, the production sitemap is submitted and staging protection is removed only from the live build.

Post-launch crawl

We check response codes, redirect chains, missing assets and orphaned pages immediately after release.

E-commerce rescue: improve the system without erasing its value

A troubled e-commerce store rarely needs a prettier homepage first. It needs the causes of lost orders identified: plugin conflicts, slow requests, unreliable checkout steps and changes that have accumulated without ownership. Our rescue work starts by stabilising the store, then improves performance and the buying path without discarding URLs and content that customers and search engines already know.

That same order of operations guides a redesign. Preserve what performs, fix what blocks users and replace only what needs replacing. The result is a cleaner experience built on verified decisions, not a complete reset made for a portfolio screenshot.

FAQ

Questions before a redesign

Will a website redesign hurt our Google rankings?

It can if URLs, content and internal links change without a migration plan. We baseline the existing site, preserve search intent, map changed URLs and monitor the release. No agency can promise that rankings never fluctuate, but the preventable causes of a redesign loss are handled directly.

How long does a redesign take?

A focused small-business site usually takes four to eight weeks. Content readiness, stakeholder approvals, integrations and the number of templates affect the schedule. You receive milestones before work begins.

Do we have to keep every existing URL?

No. We keep valuable URLs where practical and redirect outdated or consolidated pages to the closest useful replacement. Pages are removed only after their traffic, links and purpose have been reviewed.

Can you redesign WordPress or move us to another platform?

Yes. We work with WordPress and custom stacks including Next.js and Laravel. Platform choice follows editing needs, integrations, budget and maintenance requirements—not fashion.

Plan the redesign before changing the site

Send us the current URL and tell us what is not working. We will review the situation and outline the safest useful next step.
